Middlesex County authorities are looking into the cause of a crash that killed one person and injured at least one other in Old Bridge Sunday morning.
According to a preliminary investigation, police were dispatched to the intersection of Route 9 and Texas Road to investigate reports of a crash with injuries shortly before 4:32 a.m.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found the crashed vehicle with two individuals trapped inside, according to police.
Firefighters extricated both victims, but one of the injured was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
