Crash Injures Two in Wanaque

Authorities are investigating the head-on crash that injured two people in the Friday morning crash.

Police responded to Ringwood Avenue near Morningside Place around 8 a.m. for a report of a head-on collision.

Upon arrival, police determined that a 2002 Nissan Sentra - driven by 43-year-old Christian Villavicencio - traveling on the northbound lane crossed into the southbound lanes, sideswiped a 2013 Honda Civic - driven by 26-year-old David Lancellotti, 27 -

and then striking a 50-year-old Rosemary Conte who was driving a

2016 Honda CRV.

Villavicencio - who complained of back and neck injuries - was transported to Morristown Medical Center after he was cut out of his Civic by the Wanaque Fire Department.

Conte was transported to Chilton Medical Center with neck, chest injuries and cuts on her face.

According to police, Lancellotti was unharmed.

The crash remains under investigation.
