Police officials in Newark temporarily closed a street in the city's north ward to investigate a crash that occurred on Tuesday night.
According to police, the crash happened at around 9:25 p.m., in the vicinity of Lincoln Avenue and Broadway, where emergency responders arrived to find a car crashed into a pole.
The impact of the collision caused the pole and wires to fall to the ground according to officials.
Utility crews from PSEG arrived at the scene to make emergency repairs while police stayed at the scene to investigate the cause of the crash.
There were no severe injuries reported.
