Crash Causes Serious Injuries in Linden

The Accident Investigation Unit of the Linden Police Traffic Bureau is presently investigating a serious motor vehicle crash.

According to police, officers

responded to the 700 block of East Elizabeth Avenue yesterday around 10:09 p.m., for a serious motor vehicle collision.

Based on preliminary investigation, a 2004 Hyundai Sonata traveling east on E. Elizabeth Avenue at a high rate of speed, struck a parked Ford Explorer.

The driver and lone occupant of the Hyundai was found unresponsive at the scene, according to police. The driver was subsequently transported to University Hospital with severe spinal trauma. Although the driver’s injuries are very serious, they are reportedly non-life threatening at this time, added police.

A follow up investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau is being conducted.
