Emergency responders are on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash with serious injuries reported on I-287 in Wanaque at this time.
NJ State Police and Wanaque Police rushed to the northbound lanes of I-287 near exit 57 at around 9:30 a.m. where they located a crash that involved about three vehicles.
Pompton Plains EMS and Firefighters assisted in the process of of extricating occupants from a badly damaged cars at that location.
At least two people were transported to an area hospital suffering serious injuries.
It is not clear how many other people suffered injuries.
The crash caused delays for several miles on the highway.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
