Clifton and Paterson emergency responders are on the scene of a crash with serious injuries reported on a highway on the border of the cities.
Police arrived and found a flipped over car with two trapped occupants after the vehicle collided with a truck at around 9:45 a.m.
Both victims were rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment. Police say three other victims suffered minor injuries.
Police closed the southbound lanes of Route 19 for the cleanup and investigation.
The cause of the crash has not been determined.
