Crash Caused Significant Delays on Garden State Parkway in Toms River

NJ State Police are investigating a crash that had a vehicle wedged vertically against the concrete divider of the Garden State Parkway in Toms River.

According to police, the crash happened in the southbound lanes of the highway, near exit 82, where officers found the unusually looking crash scene.

The collision caused about a 7-mile delay, but there were no severe injuries immediately reported.

According to police, the right, center lane and the ramp to Route 37 were all shut down until 1:50 p.m. but officers kept the ramp closed to further clear the road.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
