“Being a Fashion Designer is hard work. Our students here at HCST are incredibly talented, as evidenced by their work created for the annual Fashion Show led by the Apparel & Textile CTE instructor Mrs. Janet Patten," said Alicia Abraham, Director of Career and Technical Education.

"'The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud,' said Coco Chanel and that is exactly what Mrs. Patten fosters in her classroom - allowing the students to take all they have learned to express their individuality while creating the most beautiful fashion pieces they get to showcase at this great event. I wish continued success to Mrs. Patten and her students and I can't wait to see what the next year's fashion show will bring!”

The students who participated in the Fashion Show include Yvette Cruz, Camila Ramos, Gherese Felipe, Valeria Miranda, Jeremiah Gonzalez, Jadyn Mohammed, Daniela Esquea-Moreno, Amaya Thomas, and Madison Ragland.

The Hudson County Schools of Technology is dedicated to providing substantive Career and Technical Education programs across all of its campuses.

Not only do students receive a state-of-the-art academic education, but they graduate with the skills necessary to move forward in their chosen career path, whether through continued training at a college or technical program or by entering directly into the workforce.
