Cops Release Sketch of Suspect in Hackensack Sexual Assault

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced the ongoing investigation of a sexual assault that occurred in the City of Hackensack on the night of November 27, 2015.

The investigation commenced on Friday, Dec. 4, when a sexual assault was reported to the Hackensack Police Department. The adult female victim reported that on Friday, Nov.27, she was followed from a bus stop on Main Avenue, near Poplar Avenue in Hackensack at approximately 9:30 p.m., by a skinny black male with a medium to dark complexion, short cropped hair, approximately 5’8” in height, approximately 30 to 40 years of age, wearing a bubble vest over a long dark coat, dark colored jeans and dark colored sneakers.

The man held a handgun in his hand and approached the victim near the intersection of Poplar Avenue and Grand Avenue, where he ordered her to give him her money before he sexually assaulted her. He then fled the area on foot.

As a result of this report, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was notified and a joint investigation ensued. During the investigation, a composite sketch of the suspect was completed with the assistance of the New Jersey State Police Composite Drawing Unit.
