With another day of dangerous high temperatures here the City of Elizabeth are opens cooling center to help residents beat the heat.
After humid temperature yesterday and even higher temperatures expected for the next couple day, city officials urge all residents, but especially the elderly, disabled people, pregnant women and children under the age of 2, to stay indoors or take advantage of the cooling facility if necessary.
The Stephen Sampson Senior Center, located at 800 Anna Street in Elizabeth, will be open until 8:00 p.m. as a cooling center.
