Newark

Residents in Newark and across North Jersey are waking up to a crisp and cloudy morning that feels every bit like fall.

As of 4:30 a.m., it was 64 degrees along Bloomfield Avenue and Lake Street in Newark’s North Ward, with light winds already setting the tone for the day.

Though the region remains dry early on, a slight chance of rain lingers through the late morning hours.

Those heading out are advised to keep a jacket handy, especially if planning to spend time outdoors or dine outside during lunch.

According to the National Weather Service:

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers before 11 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 67. North wind 10 to 13 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58.

No major downpours are expected, but the cool breeze and dense cloud cover are reminders that autumn is near.

Enjoy your Wednesday, NJ.
