Good Friday morning, New Jersey. We’re closing out the week with cool conditions across Newark and the North Jersey region, where temperatures are sitting around 50 degrees as the day begins.

If you’re heading out early—especially to the bus stop around 5 a.m.—you’ll want to grab a light jacket to start your morning.
Despite the chill, conditions will improve nicely as the day goes on.
We’re kicking off the month of May on a pleasant note, with plenty of sunshine expected throughout the day, making for a comfortable and enjoyable afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 66 degrees and a light west wind around 7 mph.
As we head into the evening, clouds will begin to increase. There is a 30 percent chance of showers after 11 p.m., with overnight temperatures dipping to around 50 degrees and a light southwest wind.
