Happy Thursday, New Jersey, as we continue through the week with a chilly start, but today is shaping up to be the pick of the week.
Good morning. It’s 46 degrees in downtown Newark, and while there’s a noticeable chill in the air early on, temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-70s with plenty of sunshine.
If you’re heading out around 4:30 a.m., you’ll want a warm jacket to start your day.
Winds are light this morning, but that cool breeze will be enough to remind you it’s still early spring.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 76 degrees. Northwest winds will increase to 8 to 13 mph later this morning, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph.
Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low around 51 and a light north wind between 5 and 8 mph.
