Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

We are waking up to a beautiful Wednesday morning across Newark and the North Jersey region, with cool temperatures in the 50s and 60s setting the stage for a pleasant day.

Good morning, Jersey! It is currently about 65 degrees in downtown Newark at 4:30 a.m., and conditions feel refreshing as you head out the door.

Temperatures are cooler in several locations, with Trenton around 57 degrees, Morristown near 59 and readings in the lower 60s around Toms River.

According to the National Weather Service, mostly sunny skies are expected today with a high near 81 degrees. Southwest winds will remain light at around 3 to 8 mph.

For our part of the region, there are no significant threats of precipitation today, so expect plenty of wall-to-wall sunshine.

The cool start will give us a little taste of fall before temperatures climb into a spring-like, comfortable afternoon.

Tonight, clouds will increase with temperatures falling to around 67 degrees.

Enjoy this beautiful Wednesday, Jersey!
