Newark

Good morning, New Jersey!

We’re waking up to a refreshing and beautiful Tuesday morning across the Garden State, and we hope you had a restful night.

As of this morning, it is 60 degrees in Newark under mostly clear skies.

You may want a light jacket as you head out the door, especially in some of the cooler inland communities, but you’ll likely be shedding that extra layer as temperatures climb through the day.

Across the region, temperatures are comfortably cool. Hopatcong is reporting 50 degrees, Flanders is at 49, Columbia is 48, Bridgewater is 49, and Sussex County is checking in at 49 degrees. Meanwhile, Newark remains one of the warmer spots at 60 degrees.

The good news? We are looking at a fantastic day ahead with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 79 degrees. Winds will be light, starting from the northwest around 6 mph before becoming westerly this afternoon.

Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low around 63 degrees. South winds of 5 to 8 mph will become calm after midnight.

Enjoy the sunshine, open the windows if you can, and make it a great day, New Jersey!
