Cool, Comfortable Monday Ahead for Newark, North Jersey Region

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

Good morning, Jersey!

We’re waking up to cloudy skies and a cool, comfortable start across Newark and the North Jersey region; a much different picture than yesterday, when stormy conditions brought heavy downpours and flooding to parts of the area.

It is currently 64 degrees in Downtown Newark, and overall, we’re looking at a fantastic and comfortable day ahead.

A front moving in from the west could bring a few sprinkles to portions of North Jersey, but most of the day should remain dry and pleasant.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance of showers between 2 and 5 p.m., followed by a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm after 5 p.m.

Otherwise, skies should become mostly sunny with a high near 82 degrees.

Southwest winds will increase to around 6 to 11 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 22 mph. The chance of rain is only 20 percent.

Tonight, skies will gradually clear with temperatures dropping to a comfortable low around 63 degrees.

After yesterday’s soaking, enjoy the much-improved weather.

Have a wonderful day, Jersey!
