Cool, Clear Start to Thursday Sets Up Another Beautiful Fall Day in Newark

Newark and much of North Jersey are waking up to chilly but pleasant conditions this Thursday morning, as the region enjoys another crisp and comfortable fall day.

As of 4:30 a.m., it was 52 degrees along Central Avenue and Broad Street in downtown Newark, where clear skies and calm winds made for a cool but refreshing start. 

Commuters will want to grab a light jacket, though conditions are expected to stay dry and breezy through the morning.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 64 degrees and west winds between 7 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. 

Tonight will remain mostly clear, with lows dipping to around 46 degrees.

It’s a perfect recipe for fall, cool, dry, and bright, making for a great day to enjoy the outdoors across the Newark area.
