After a string of milder mornings, my family and friends in Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to noticeably cooler conditions this Tuesday.

As of 4:30 a.m., it’s 50 degrees in downtown Newark with a light north breeze making it feel even chillier. Those heading out early for work or school may want to grab a jacket or sweater before stepping outside.
According to the National Weather Service, today will remain dry and mostly sunny, with temperatures climbing to a high near 70 degrees.
Winds will remain light out of the north at 7 to 9 mph, offering a break from the gustier conditions seen earlier in the week.
Tonight, clouds will begin to move in ahead of a wet weather system expected to arrive Wednesday. Lows will drop to around 54 degrees overnight.

Wednesday is shaping up to be a rainy day, with showers likely and some periods of heavy rain expected.
Use today’s clear skies to prepare for a wet midweek stretch, and stay with RLS Media for the latest weather updates.
