Convicted Arsonist Accused of a Setting Toms River Home on Fire

A 26-year-old Toms River man convicted of arson several years ago, is being accused of setting a house on fire this week.

According to police, on Tuesday morning John Fischer V, deliberately set a Camino Roble Drive home on fire sometime around 12:30 a.m.

Arriving police, detected the smell of am accelerate, as possibly gasoline, near the burned steps and siding of the home.

Further investigation, ultimately led to the arrest of Fischer, who according to officials is being held in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $75,000 bail. 

Fischer pleaded guilty to arson in connection with an August 2010 incident where he was sentenced to four years.
