Community Service Project to be Held in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Cranford

The community is invited to attend today’s Interfaith Community Service Project in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The event will take place today at 4 p.m. in Bates Hall (the large gym on the corner of Miln St. and Springfield Avenue).

The goal is to assemble 1,000 personal care bags to honor the life and work and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Items needed:

-Individually packaged toothbrush

-Toothpaste – 6 -8 ozs. ( no travel or family sizes)

-Deodorant

-Soap

-Various sizes of diapers – as many as possible

Also, they also can use full-size shampoos, conditioners, body wash, body lotion, hair products, chapsticks, etc.; any of these items collected will be boxed separately and given to each agency.

Cleaning products:

-Bottles of multi-purpose cleaner,

-Spray cleaners,

-Toilet bowl cleaner,

-Wipes and/or sponges

Healthy snacks and individual fruit juice packages for afterschool snacks for Elizabethport.

Donations can also be dropped off at the Church Office during office hours or at the Fair.
