Community Assistance Needed in Identifying Newark Ironbound Assault Suspects

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the below pictured suspects in an aggravated assault that occurred on Tuesday, August 6.

According to police, at approximately 10:45 p.m., a 17-year old male was assaulted in the area of McWhorter and Lafayette streets.

Police say teen teen was talking on his cell phone when he was attacked by a group of males.

The victim blacked out and his cell phone was missing when he came to.

Police say the victim was taken to University Hospital by a family member for treatment of his injuries and released.

While police are actively searching for these suspects, police seek the public’s help in quickly identifying them so that they can be removed from Newark streets.
