Irvington Police Department is investigating a rash of violent Sexual Assaults that happened in the Township.
According to authorities, the most recent incidents took place between 1/17/2017 and 3/07/2017.
All of the incidents took place in the area of the Newark/Irvington border, near the intersection of Grove Street and Nye Avenue according to police.
The victims were all adult females walking in the area between the hours of 3PM and 3AM and were all threatened with a handgun police said.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 5’4”-5’8” in height, approximately 35 years of age, with a dark complexion.
He has been identified as Samuel Reed.
He is described as having a mustache and appears unshaven. The suspect wears a dark colored hooded jacket.
Citizens are urged to use caution when walking in the area.
