It is a cold Black Friday morning as Newark and the North Jersey region wake up just above freezing, with some areas dipping even lower.

Good Friday morning, and we hope your Thanksgiving Day was filled with good food and family.
As of 4:30 a.m., it is 35 degrees and cold at West Market Street and Halsey Street in Downtown Newark.
If you are heading out for Black Friday shopping and looking for the best deals of the year, be sure to bundle up.
Winter coats are a must as temperatures remain brisk. Winds won’t be extremely strong, but there will be enough of a breeze to make it feel colder.
According to the National Weather Service, the forecast is mostly sunny with a high near 43.
Wind chill values will sit between 20 and 30. It will be breezy, with west winds at 14 to 22 mph and gusts up to 40 mph.
Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 31 and wind chill values between 25 and 30. 
West winds will range from 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph.
