Good Wednesday, New Jersey. We hope you’re waking up feeling well.

If you’re heading out early, make sure to bundle up. Temperatures are sitting below freezing this morning, and it’s going to feel even colder with the wind.

Winter is making a brief return, so grab that coat and full cold-weather gear before stepping out.

As of 4:30 a.m., it’s 31 degrees in downtown Newark, but wind chills are making it feel closer to a frigid 23 degrees.

If you’re heading to the bus stop or commuting, dress in layers. Even though temperatures are expected to climb, they will struggle to reach the 40s, and it will feel colder than the actual temperature throughout much of the day.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 50 degrees.

Wind chill values early will range between 25 and 35 degrees, with north winds between 6 and 13 mph shifting southeast later in the afternoon.
