Cold and Crisp Sunday Morning Before Sunshine Takes Over in Newark

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

Good morning and happy Sunday, New Jersey.

It’s a cold start across Newark and much of North Jersey, with temperatures hovering at or just above the freezing mark as the region wakes up.

If you’re heading out to Sunday service or getting an early start, make sure you bundle up with your warm gear; it’s definitely a chilly one to begin the day.

The good news is that conditions will improve. Sunshine will take over as the day progresses, helping temperatures climb to a more comfortable level this afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 57 degrees. Southwest winds will increase to around 8 to 13 mph through the morning.

Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures dipping to around 45 degrees and a light southwest breeze near 9 mph.

Make it a great day, New Jersey.
