A Code Blue has been called by the City of Elizabeth, due to predicted weather conditions.
Emergency shelters are expected to extend capacity to highest possible levels tonight, utilizing the additional cots.
Individuals/families sheltered during a Code Blue must be screened and referred by the UC Division of Social Services (UCDSS).
After hours and when County offices are closed, shelter is available at the Salvation Army in Elizabeth and the Plainfield Area YMCA in Plainfield. Both shelters will accept walk-ins when possible during a Code Blue.
