While a few sprinkles linger in parts of Somerset and Middlesex counties, most of the state is expected to remain dry throughout the day.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will stay mostly cloudy with a high near 64 degrees. Winds from the north at 11 to 14 mph could gust up to 24 mph at times, adding to the fall chill.

Tonight, skies will gradually clear, with temperatures dipping to around 53 degrees.
