Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has identified the 22-year-old Clifton man who according to authorities shot and killed himself at a Fourth of July house party with an off-duty officer's weapon.
Xavier Cuevas-Soto apparently removed an unidentified Paterson police officer’s weapon just before killing himself.
Circumstances and details surrounding the suicide have not been released by officials.
The incident is under investigation by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, the Totowa Police Department, the Paterson Police Department, and the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office.
