Clifton Man Arrested for Illegal Dumping in Newark

Newark Police announced the arrest of Daniel Kelesovski, 31, of Clifton, for an incident of illegal dumping today.

According to a statement released by police officials, at approximately 10:20 a.m., members of the Illegal Dumping Task Force observed a man unload a sofa from a red Dodge Ram pickup truck and place the sofa on the sidewalk in the area of Verona Avenue and Broadway.

The man, later identified as Daniel Kelesovski, was arrested without incident as he entered his vehicle to leave. Police charged Daniel with Illegal Dumping and Illegal Transport of Solid Waste.

The vehicle was towed and is subject to forfeiture.

These charges are merely accusations. Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
