Clifton Man Accused of Selling Marijuana to Under Cover Cop in Paramus Arrested

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced the arrest a 23-year-old Clifton man accused selling cocaine to an under cover cop in Paramus.

On Monday, December 23, 2013, Ghaith Labebneh distributed two ounces of suspected marijuana to an undercover detective of the Bergen County Narcotic Task Force for $520.00 in Paramus. 

 

On Tuesday, February 2, 2014, Labebneh distributed one and a half grams of suspected cocaine to an undercover detective of the Bergen County Narcotic Task Force for $160.00 in Paramus.

 

On Wednesday, March 25, 2015, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force and Paramus Police Department placed Labebneh

under arrest, without incident, at his place of employment in Paramus. 

 

Labebneh was later transported to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office for arrest processing.

He was charged with count each of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, namely cocaine, in a quantity of less than one half ounce, a third degree crime distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, namely marijuana, in a quantity of more than one ounce but less than five pounds, a third degree crime. 

 

Labebneh was released on his own recognizance pending a first court appearance.
