Clara Maass Medical Center participated in Patient Experience Week from April 26-30, as part of an annual, nationwide celebration to honor healthcare staff who have an impact on the patient experience every day.
During the week-long celebration, daily activities were held in honor of the theme, “Gratitude Creates Resilience.”
Throughout the week, the Patient Experience team, led by its department director Javier Alvarez, offered games, educational activities and self-care resources, and prizes for all employees, including a “Selfies with Jessie, the Pet Therapy Dog” event, an offering of thoughtful interactions and communications tools, a “Dose of Vitamin C,” and a “Getting to Know You” challenge.
As a token of appreciation, KIND snacks generously donated 30,000 KIND bars to all facilities of RWJBarnabas Health which was distributed to visitors, employees and physicians.
