Christmas Eve Brings Sunshine, Gusty Winds Before Snow Arrives Friday

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

Good Wednesday morning, and happy Christmas Eve.

Temperatures this morning aren’t too bad, sitting at 39 degrees in downtown Newark, though the wind chill is making it feel closer to 36.

A cold front moving in from the west will make today noticeably blustery, but conditions will remain dry today and through Christmas Day on Thursday.

That changes heading into Friday, when several inches of snow are expected to move into the region and impact our area.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 43 degrees.

Northwest winds will range from 10 to 16 mph, with gusts reaching up to 33 mph.

Tonight, clouds will gradually increase, with temperatures dropping to around 29 degrees.

Winds will be light, becoming calm later this evening. Have a great day, NJ!
