Chilly, Windy Wednesday Across Newark, North Jersey

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

Good morning and happy Wednesday, Jersey! We’ve made it to the middle of the week, and we’re waking up to another chilly fall morning across Newark and North Jersey.

If you’re heading out early, it’s currently 52 degrees in downtown Newark at 4:30 a.m., while places like Somerville, Morristown and Sussex County are waking up to temperatures in the 40s.

We’re expecting a nice-looking Wednesday with plenty of sunshine, but those gusty winds, especially near the Jersey Shore, will make it feel a little cooler.

According to the National Weather Service, skies will be mostly sunny with a high near 61 degrees. Northeast winds of 15 to 17 mph could gust as high as 29 mph.

Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with a low around 51 degrees and continued breezy conditions.

Keep that jacket handy, Jersey! We’re halfway through the week, and despite the wind, it should be a dry and quiet day.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, New Jersey!
