We are waking up to another cool Wednesday morning across Newark and the North Jersey region, with a chilly breeze making it feel even colder in some areas.
Good morning, New Jersey!
At 4:30 a.m., it's currently 50 degrees in downtown Newark, so if you're heading out early to the bus stop or getting ready for work, you'll want to grab that warm jacket.
We've enjoyed a nice stretch of sunshine this week, and today looks to continue that trend as temperatures gradually climb into the lower 60s.
Around the state this morning, Sussex County is checking in at a cold 36 degrees, Trenton at 41, Haledon in Passaic County at 49, Edison at 50 and Toms River at 52 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 63 degrees. Light winds will become northerly at around 5 mph this afternoon.
Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping to around 48 degrees.
Enjoy the sunshine, stay warm this morning, and make it a great Wednesday, NJ!
