We’re waking up to a noticeable cool-down across Newark and the North Jersey region as the week winds down, with temperatures dipping compared to yesterday’s milder feel.

Good morning, New Jersey. As of early today, it’s about 61 degrees in downtown Newark, and you can definitely feel that extra chill in the air.
Skies are mostly cloudy to start, and while it won’t be a washout, some spots across North Jersey could see a brief sprinkle here and there.
Temperatures will have a tough time climbing today, with highs expected to top out near 69 degrees.
Winds will stay light, shifting from the north this morning to a more southeasterly direction later in the day.
According to the National Weather Service, tonight will remain mostly cloudy, with a 30 percent chance of rain developing after 5 a.m.

Overnight lows will dip to around 45 degrees, so it’s another night where you’ll want to keep that jacket nearby.
Not the worst way to close out the week, but definitely a reminder that spring still has a few cool notes left.
