Chilly Start to Monday in Newark, Breezy with Sunshine Ahead

We are waking up to a brisk and cool start to the week across Newark and the North Jersey region as we begin this Monday.

Good morning! If you’re joining us at 4:30 a.m., it’s 44 degrees in downtown Newark. 

Temperatures will climb into the mid-50s later today, but it’s going to feel closer to 40 degrees early on due to winds around 9 mph.
 

You’ll definitely want a jacket heading out this morning. While sunshine is expected through much of the day, conditions will remain breezy.

 

According to the National Weather Service, we can expect increasing clouds with a high near 57 degrees. 

West winds will be around 11 mph, with gusts reaching up to 21 mph.

 

Tonight, there’s a 20 percent chance of showers before 11 p.m. Skies will then become partly cloudy, with a low around 41 degrees and lighter winds.
