Happy Thursday, New Jersey! Residents across Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to a cold morning, with temperatures around 45 degrees as of 4:30 a.m.

If you’re heading to the bus stop or out for an early commute, you’ll want to bundle up.
But good news is on the way: today will be about 10 degrees warmer than Wednesday, with plenty of sunshine expected by mid-morning.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will start off partly cloudy before gradually becoming sunny. Highs are forecast to reach near 64 degrees, with a steady west wind at 13 to 16 mph.
Tonight will remain mostly clear with a low around 42 degrees.
Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to climb significantly heading into the weekend, with Saturday potentially bringing a taste of summer and highs nearing 80 degrees.
