We’re up and ready to start the week on this beautiful Monday morning. It’s chilly outside, but we’ll end the day with plenty of sunshine.

Good morning, New Jersey, and welcome to Monday! We hope you had a great weekend.
It is currently 54 degrees in Newark at 4:30 a.m. If you’re headed out this early, you’ll definitely want to bring a jacket, but you should be able to shed it later today.
We’re looking at a great weather day and the beginning of a nice stretch of sunshine through the week.
Some areas are starting the morning with fog, including Morristown, Somerville, Sussex County and portions of Passaic County. That fog should burn off as the morning progresses, giving way to plenty of sunshine.
It’s shaping up to be a really nice day to get outside, maybe even enjoy lunch outdoors during your break.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will be mostly sunny with a high near 72. It will become breezy, with northwest winds increasing to 15 to 20 mph during the afternoon and gusts as high as 31 mph.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 47 degrees.
Have a great Monday, New Jersey!
