Good Monday morning, New Jersey! We hope you had a great weekend and were able to get some rest during Sunday’s rainy weather.
We are waking up to a chilly start as we begin the new workweek, with temperatures sitting at 63 degrees at 4:30 a.m. in downtown Newark.
And if it feels like fall outside, you’re not imagining it. While the new season officially arrives tomorrow, Mother Nature is giving us a preview today.
Expect a cool, breezy day with plenty of clouds early before some sunshine tries to break through later.
Temperatures will struggle to get into the lower 70s, so grabbing a light jacket before heading out the door might be a good idea.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will be cloudy before gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 72 degrees. North winds will range from 10 to 14 mph.
Tonight, clouds will increase again as temperatures fall to around 58 degrees. There is a 40% chance of rain, mainly after 2 a.m., with northeast winds of 8 to 10 mph.
So, Jersey, get that Monday morning coffee going, grab the jacket, and get ready for a cool start to the workweek.
