Childrens' Bath Wraps Recalled Due to Federal Flammability Standards

By: Jada K. Davis

Today, several styles of children’s bath wraps from RH Baby & Child have been recalled due to their failure to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. This creates an inevitable risk of burn injuries to children.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commision (CPSC), about 55,700 of the children’s bathwraps were sold at “RH Baby & Child Galleries and RH Outlets nationwide from April 2014 through November 2020 for between $1 and $64.”

The recall consists of the Animal, Heathered Plush, and Luxe Sherpa Children’s Bath Wraps. The wraps may have hoods, pockets, and plush belts, according to the CPSC

According to the CPSC:

The wraps are made out of cotton terry and have the faces of the following animals sewn on the hoods: Bunny (may come in ivory or petal colors), cat, dog, dragon, elephant, lion, monkey, moose, or unicorn. They were sold in sizes 2-3 years, 3-4 years, and 4-5 years.

The Heathered Plush Bath Wraps are made with  heathered polyester plush fabric and were sold in blue gray, lilac, and pink. These wraps were sold in sizes 18-24 months, 2-3 years, 3-4 years, 4-5 years, 6-7 years, and 8-10 years.
