Police officials, in Newark are on the search for the suspect who fired shots early Monday morning in a North Ward neighborhood while children walked to school.
Police say it happened shortly before 7:45 a.m. in the 50’s block of 2nd Avenue where a careless gunman arrived in a vehicle and began to fire shots in the area at unknown targets while children were making their way to morning classes.
According to police, the suspect fled from the scene in a 2013 Dodge Challenger with a reported NJ license plate number ”R54 KDE”.
There were no injuries reported and the suspect remains at-large.
