Authorities in Newark are investigating a pedestrian strike incident that injured a child in the city's Central Ward Thursday evening.
At approximately 5:15 p.m., police responded to reports of a vehicle crash in the 300 block of Springfield Avenue.
Upon arrival, emergency repsonders found a child, around 9-years-old suffering injuries after a car struck kid at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and listed in stable condition.
Police reported no other injuries.
