Gloucester Township authorities are looking into an incident where a girl suffered serious burns at a location in the city Tuesday night.
According to police, they were called to the single digit block of Camelot Court after receiving reports of an injured person.
Units arrived at the scene found the girl -around the age of 8-years-old- suffering severe burns after somehow falling into a fire pit at that location.
Police say the unidentified victim was airlifted to the hospital where doctors began treating the injuries which have not been reported as life-threatening at this time.
The incident is under investigation and being handled by the Gloucester Township Police Department.
