Child Injured After Falling from Third-Floor Window in Jersey City

A young boy is expected to recover after falling from a third-floor window in Jersey City Monday night, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at 1677 John F. Kennedy Boulevard. Emergency responders rushed to the scene following multiple reports of a child injured on the ground. 

Upon arrival, officers and EMS personnel discovered an approximately 8-year-old boy who had reportedly fallen from the window of an apartment unit.

The child sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Jersey City Hospital for treatment. 

He is expected to make a full recovery, officials confirmed.

Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall. At this time, it is unclear whether the child was under adult supervision when the incident occurred.
