Police in Newark are investigating the circumstances behind a child being found wandering in a section of the city early Saturday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called tot he vicinity of 18th Street and 19th Avenue at approximately 3 a.m. after they received reports of a young child walking in the middle of the street.
Units arrived at the scene and found that the child -around the age of 5- was not fully dressed then requested EMS.
The child did not suffer any physical injuries according to preliminary reports.
It is not clear if police ever found the parents of the child at this time.
