A fall from a window that occurred this afternoon in Jersey City left a young child injured according to officials.
Police say the incident happened in the 300 block of Ogden Avene at approximately 3:35 p.m. where emergency responders rushed to the scene after they received reports of an injured person.
According to Jersey City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione, a 3-year-old apparently fell out of a window from the third floor of a building suffering injuries.
Wallace-Scalcione said, the child was taken to a local hospital and is being transported to St Joseph's in Paterson for pediatric trauma.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
