Reports of a robbery of a cell phone that occurred in the area of Bloomfield Ave. and North 3rd Street at around 2:20 p.m. sent police to the scene where they apprehended a suspect a short distance away from the scene.
The robbery occurred in close proximity to where a female victim was fatally injured by gunfire during what authorities said was an apparent robbery two days ago.
There are no reported connections between the two incidents at this time.
