Authorities said at approximately 12:08 pm, Plainfield Police and Fire Units responded to 36 Somerset Street (Acme Windows) on the report of an injured adult female.
Arriving units determined that the 67-year-old adult woman, who appeared to be distracted by her cell phone, fell approximately 6 feet into an open bilco door.

EMS transported the injured woman to the hospital after Plainfield Firefighters made the extrication.
She received treatment for serious injuries.
The bilco doors were open due to the repair of gas lines in the area.
