A brazen early evening strong armed carjacking in Newark has police searching for two suspects responsible.
According to reports, police responded to 100 block of 2nd Street shortly before 5:45 p.m. on reports of a strong armed carjacking in progress.
Units arrived to the scene and were met by the victim who reported that a black male suspects approached then forced her and her teenaged child out of the vehicle shortly before police arrived to the scene.
The suspect fled in the victim's 2006 green Dodge Caravan with a reported NJ license plate numbers "VMK-54W".
The suspect fled southbound on 2nd Street.
There were no injuries reported.
