There were no injuries reported in a shots-fired incident in Newark's North Ward Friday night.
Police said at around 9:28 p.m, residents dialed 911 after hearing several gunshots in the area of Summer Avenue and Bryant Street.
Officers arrived and found a vehicle shot up at that location. Authorities said police searched the car and found no occupants inside.
The investigation revealed that the suspect fired about a half dozen shots that struck the car before they fled the scene.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined at this time.
